The Metro Petroleum Christmas Party 2025 took place last week at La Castelle in Bankstown, bringing together over 600 guests including franchisees, suppliers, employees, and friends of the Dib Group. The night celebrated not just the end of a successful year, but the strong culture built by leaders like George Dib a key driving force behind Metro’s ongoing expansion and family-first approach.
The event featured special guests from across the business, community, and media worlds. Among them were NSW Minister Jihad Dib, Father Assaad Lahoud from St. Charbel Monastery, Bankstown Councillor George Zakia, and respected journalists such as Anwar Harb from Annahar Australia, Joe Khoury of Al Mustaqbal, and editors from the Middle East Times, Telegraph, and Al-Hawadess.
A fun highlight of the night was the Vietnamese-inspired theme, with guests and team members dressed in traditional outfits that brought colour and vibrancy to the venue. The event was hosted by popular broadcaster Andrew Voss, who added energy and humour to the evening’s program.
George Dib and the Dib Group leadership used the occasion to recognise several long-time staff members. Among them were Lola Dib Zaatini, who marked 10 years with the company, and Mrs. Leila Younis and Gary Tong, who were honoured for an incredible 30 years of dedication.
A 2025 highlights presentation was delivered by Elie John Dib, who reflected on Metro Petroleum’s milestones and community engagement efforts, including partnerships with local charities, sporting organisations, and national initiatives.
The message throughout the night was clear: people are at the heart of everything Metro does. That philosophy, championed by both George and John Dib, continues to shape the group’s culture of respect, recognition, and unity.
As Metro Petroleum looks to 2026, the focus remains on strengthening the network, investing in its people, and giving back to the communities it serves. It was a night of pride, appreciation, and momentum for the road ahead.
